Our little Piglet team, had the great pleasure of meeting Tim (really interesting Farm Manager) and the lovely Lizzie (food expert) this summer. After a tour of the many acres of land, a stop to upright a sheep that was stuck on its back (they get too top heavy with their winter coats) we had all the inspiration a team could need to work on some lovely products.

The brief:

Looking at produce from the Goodwoood farm, make a traditional pie that could be part of the products sold at Events and online.

We worked with their very own on site butcher, to get just the right cuts of beef available.

Take a dash of the lovely ale produced from their own hops.

Lots of lovely other ingredients from our Pantry and we set to work. The Chefs tasted, gave feedback and we created the very special Goodwood Steak & Ale Pie, now available at Events and through Wholesale enquiries (LINK)

Stage 2:

Look at other cuts of meat that can be used to provide different products – we are still working on this range including Lamb Hot Pot, Lamb Roast Dinner Pie, Sausage Rolls and Sausage with a dash of Chutney.
